Review: Crystal Twist Color Dildo by Crystal Delights

    0
By Zoe on June 8, 2013 Reviews, Toy Reviews, Written

Green-Crystal-Twist-DildoI like glass as a material for sex toys; borosilicate (pyrex) in particular. Glass is smooth and hard. It is nontoxic and nonporous (which makes it easy to clean and sanitize). It can be cooled or warmed for temperature play. But the most interesting thing of all about glass sex toys is the visual aspect.

Many of the glass sex toys that I have seen are works of art. The Crystal Twist Color Dildo by Crystal Delights is no exception. Its shape resembles a piece of spiral pasta though it increases in diameter, hence also circumference, from one end to the other.

The Crystal Twist Color Dildo is made with red, cobalt blue or green highlights; each with a Swarovski Crystal embedded in the end. Each piece is hand-blown so they do vary. The Crystal Twist Color Dildo comes wrapped in a fabric (brocade) padded storage pouch for safe keeping.

My Twist’s approximate dimensions are roughly 5 7/8” in length (5.25” insertable) with the narrowest diameter (at the top) being 1’ and the widest diameter (at the bottom) measuring 1.5”. Since these are handmade, each piece may be a bit different.

The Twist works much like a corkscrew. With a bit of lube, one can twist (or screw) the vaginal opening without any trouble. Crystal Delights also sells a mini version of the Twist as an anal plug that I would like to try. While the mini version is not any narrower in the largest diameter, it is not as long and narrows towards the bottom before the flared base.

    My thoughts:

I think that the Crystal Twist Color Dildo is the most beautiful piece of glass in my entire collection. I leave it out on my shelf because it is so gorgeous to look at. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work so well for me. I have tried numerous times to use it during masturbation, but I have found that for me the end is too pokey when completely inserted and I couldn’t get the twists to hit my g-spot in anything approaching a pleasant way.

Usually asking my staff to evaluate a product, results in having to give them said product and I was loathe to part with my beautiful artwork, but I needed a second opinion. So I asked Hubby’s girlfriend to try out my Twist.

She said that although it did not get her to orgasm, the twisting motion produced a quite pleasing sensation and she didn’t find it anywhere near as pokey as I did.

I think this is definitely a toy that works better for some people than others. Epiphoria, one of (if not The) top sex toy reviewer on the web, raves about the Crystal Twist saying that it does incredible things to her g-spot.

So my suggestion would be to try the Crystal Twist Color Dildo by Crystal Delights and see if it works for you. Just make sure you get the color you like the best. That way, if you are like me and did not enjoy it internally, you can enjoy it externally as the beautiful piece of art work it is.

Zoe first described herself as "bad at monogamy" until about five years ago when she and her husband discovered the term that actually described her: polyamorous. Since then they have opened their family to other partners. Zoe is currently juggling relationships with her husband, their two kids, her husband's girlfriend, and a slew of friends/loves that she calls her tribal poly family.
