Review: Onye Kenya and Onye Kenya Petite by Big Teaze Toys

    0
By Zoe on March 10, 2013 Reviews, Toy Reviews, Written

Kenya-3skusOne of the most exciting things about my job here at Swingset is getting packages from toy companies. Unfortunately, it comes with the most difficult task: who to assign to review each toy. But when the Onye Kenya and Onye Kenya Petite arrived from Big Teaze Toys, it was clear who would be doing those reviews.

I spent a great deal of time trying to figure out how to insert the 3AAA batteries into the Onye Kenya (even the diagram wasn’t helpful). I would suggest marking a + or – on the battery case to make changing them easier. The Petite was easier as it only took 1 AAA battery; a fact that seemed to astound the office staff. Most mini vibes take several of the hard to find and more expensive watch batteries. I handed them off to Tonia Thomas.

Tonia is Swingset’s queen of bullet vibrators. She not only uses them, but has complained about wearing them out. She says, “When it comes to clitoral stimulation, I’m a big fan of bullets. One downside of the bullet is the tiny cord attached to the speed controller (in wired models). I can’t tell you how many bullets I have worn out because of that cord. I have been looking for something that didn’t come with a cord but didn’t want to sacrifice speed and strength.” Hopefully the Onye Kenya and Onye Kenya Petite, would fit her requirements as neither is wired.

She said, “The Petite is a one speed powerful bullet vibrator about the size of a tube of Chap Stick (3.5” by 1”). The Onye Kenya is as thick as a regular bullet (4.5” by 1.25”) with three speeds.

Both the Onye Kenya and the Onye Kenya Petite come in fun animal prints, including my favorite purple leopard print. The artwork is bonded on so that it does not wear or scratch off.

Both come with a nice hard plastic holder for storage. I carry both in my purse all the time and don’t worry about the toys going off; a definite plus for traveling.

I was also impressed with the noise level. All vibrators make noise but they seem softer that most toys. Even when held directly on my clit, the noise level did not increase.

And best of all, both are completely waterproof for extra bath time fun.

After using the Onye Kenya and Onye Kenya Petite, I have come to realize that the lack of cord does not mean lack of vibration strength. These bullets are plenty strong enough to get me off.”

So it seems that both bullet vibes, the Onye Kenya and the Onye Kenya Petite from  Big Teaze Toys, have been given high marks by Tonia, here on the Swingset.

Zoe first described herself as "bad at monogamy" until about five years ago when she and her husband discovered the term that actually described her: polyamorous. Since then they have opened their family to other partners. Zoe is currently juggling relationships with her husband, their two kids, her husband's girlfriend, and a slew of friends/loves that she calls her tribal poly family.
