    Intimate Organics' Massage Oils

Review: Organic Massage Oils by Intimate Organics

By Dylan Thomas on August 7, 2011 Product Reviews, Reviews, Written

I'd been chomping at the bit to review some massage oils. Giving long, smooth, sensual massages is one of my favorite things, and I don't make any bones about it. I'll give a nice foot massage, a back rub, a tension release shoulder workup and I'll enjoy all of it. But I really enjoy giving a full body oil rub down. So, I sat down with three products from Intimate Organics from their Organic Massage line, I had the Sensual Cocoa Bean and Goji Berry Massage Oil, the Energizing Massage Oil, and the Relaxation Massage Oil billed as “Sensual, Energizing, and Relaxing” respectively. So I lined up a couple willing partners, including Tonia and got to work.

I like to make a big deal about using good massage oil so I try to immerse the people I massage in aull sensory experience. I made sure the lights were low with a few flickering candles, had some very chillĀ  tunes on (Anjunabeats Worldwide 176 if you'd like you know), and had the bed and soft towels laid out with some ice water (with wine glasses, oooo la la) nearby.

First, smells! The Sensual Cocoa Bean and Goji Berry Massage Oil, it smells, very much like chocolate with just a hint of goji! It's a very light pleasant smell that didn't overpower me while giving the massages, or the person receiving the massage. I spent a lot of time using this oil on both Tonia and our other partner and we never felt it was anything but pleasant, this was definitely our favorite scent.

The Relaxing Massage Oil has Lemongrass and Coconut with the lemon being the predominant scent. Again, they seemed to balance the lemon with the coconut very effectively without overpowering any of us with either or both scents. This was definitely our second favoriteĀ  scent.

The Energizing Massage Oil has Fresh Orange and Wild Ginger, and while I'd never smelled wild ginger before I seemed to recognize the very slight spice it added to the aroma immediately. We used some of it and enjoyed it a lot. I was worried about it being overpowering, but just like the previous two scents it's a very light scent and filled the room nicely without flooding our senses. While this was our least favorite scent, it's still fantastic. All three were definitely above what I'd expected, and they are now my favorite scented massage oils on smell alone.

The massage oils held up as actual massage oil much better than I'd expected. I'd been using a couple competing products (one scented, one non-scented) for a while now and using these, I was pretty blown away. I consider the bar raised.

All three performed equally well; They all warmed up very easily with just a couple rubs, and were very easy to apply evenly. The oil never seemed to dry out but at the same time it never felt “oily” like I have with some other oils. A single rinse with soap and water got all the oil out of my hands when I wanted to switch between massage oils. While my skin felt very soft afterwords, it didn't feel greasy, my hands, arms, my entire body (I did say full body massage) felt moisturized and relax instead of greasy and in need of taking a shower. I almost didn't want to shower the next morning it still felt that good.

The oil never seemed to dry up, while I applied plenty of oil (and gave some extended foot massages with it), I didn't feel like I had to keep applying to keep things moving. I moved from top to bottom, but I could move back to the top without having to reapply.

The ease of using and applying the oil, and not having to interrupt to reapply often in combination with some of the best scents I've ever experienced with massage oil combined for three and a half hours of very intense, sensual, relaxing massages. I made love to Tonia once during, once after, and once in the morning before rising it all off and the feel and scent of the oil contributed to it being intensely erotic.

    This… this -is- aromatherapy.

I highly recommend all three scents, these are now my top massage oil selections and I keep them in the very front of the drawer!

    Always giving,
    Dylan
