Review: Beginner Bit Gag by Pipedream Products

    0
By Mistress Arabella on September 12, 2012 Reviews, Toy Reviews, Written

Speaking as someone who makes an insane amount of noise when playing, I've developed a bit of a fetish for gags. (Okay, “bit” was totally not meant to be a play-on-words here, and by “bit” I mean a fucking huge fetish for gags.) I like them to muffle noise when being quiet (or quieter) is a necessity, and I can't always have something yummier in my mouth. I like them 'cause they do amazing things to sate my oral-fixation, and because, well… being gagged while having sex is fucking hot to me. It turns me on. And for me, that's all the reason I need to do most anything where my sexuality and creative license is concerned.

All that said, the Beginner Bit Gag in the Fetish Fantasies Series by Pipedream Products is the first bit gag I've owned (certainly not the first that's made it into my mouth, though) and now I'm sure it won't be the last!

It's a non-intimidating, small gag comprised of a hollow plastic tube, a plastic strap that fastens around your head with an adjustable metal buckle, and metal O-rings on the sides. It looks damn sexy on, whatever your gender or orientation, and though bit gags don't do much to silence the wearer, they definitely do muffle noise and make talking turn magically into a chorus of pleasure moans and sighs.

I'm happy to report that the gag is completely tasteless, and the plastic straps have a very mild odor and are non-annoying and not at all sticky against the skin. Also, I tend to be sensitive to materials (latex, adhesives, etc.) and this gag didn't bother me a bit. Hooray!

I've had problems in the past with gags not fitting around the base of my head (where it's most comfortable for me to have them fastened since I often have them in for hours) and not all gags are made with adjustments small enough to make this possible for me. But kudos to Pipedream Products for actually making a gag where one-size-fits-most seems like it would fit most! Pretty exciting in my world.

I should mention that I tried out their bit gag while hooked into their Extreme Hogtie Kit, playing with my new love the Eroscillator 2 (which, yes, makes me feel like I'm cheating on the Hitachi Magic Wand) and filled up with a vibe and a butt plug. Sheer heaven! I kept having flashbacks to the last bit-gag I wore, which incidentally was handmade for me out of bamboo and twine in a friend's garage, while I was collared and clipped to my lover's belt, tied & bound, and the sparks from the cutting of the bamboo were flying inches past my face. My own personal fireworks show.

Pipedream Products‘ Bit Gag itself is great quality and a good value for the price, and something I'll keep at the top of my toybox to use over and over again. My only complaint? It's already covered with teeth-marks. But ya know, that's kinda sexy, too, come to think of it!

If you're new to the world of gags, have any sort of oral-fixation, or have ever fantasized about being gagged, I totally recommend the Beginner Bit Gag in the Fetish Fantasy Series by Pipedream Products. If you're a newbie to the gag-world, you can always try it out solo before introducing it to partner-play or threesome, foursome, or moresome lovin'.

    Blissfully yours,
    Mistress Arabella
