Review: Stronic Eins by Fun Factory

Fun_Factory_Stronic_Eins_Pulsator_Violet_2__50022.1359142201.1280.1280Fun Factory’s Stronic Eins is a revolution in vibrator technology. In fact, it is so different from the traditional vibrator or massager, that the new term “pulsator” was coined.

“Eins” in German means “one” and this is not only the first of its kind, but also the first in what Fun Factory hopes to be a complete line of pulsators. In fact, Swingset’s own Cooper Beckett will be giving you a sneak peek at the Stronic Zwei (2), a pulsator for men! Due to hit the US shelves later this year and premiering this month for the European market.

What makes the Stronic so different?

Most vibrators and massagers give a vibration by using an offset spinning gear motor similar to how the steering wheel shakes when a car tire is imbalanced. This shaking effect is what makes the vibrator feel good against the skin. Vibrator companies have tried using stronger motors, two motors, motors with numerous speeds or patterns, but in essence they all work the same way.

But the Stronic Eins does not vibrate. Instead it uses a solid metal moving inside a hollow body to mimic the thrusting movement of penetrative sex; a much different feeling from the average vibrator.

    My Thoughts.

When I first heard about the Stronic technology, I knew I had to try it. Let’s face it, when it comes to masturbation, I am lazy. I don’t want to do a lot of work to get off. So the idea of a toy that would stimulate my g-spot without making my arm tired is awesome.

It arrived in the usual Fun Factory gold foil box with a picture sleeve; along with a magnetic charger and a very basic instruction booklet. I was rather surprised at the lack of a storage bag that most high end (expensive) vibrators include.

The Stronic Eins measures a little over 9 inches long (about 6 inches insertable) and ranges from 1.38 to 1.77 inch in diameter (about 5 – 5.5 in circumference). It has a sight curved flexible tip to hit the g-spot and a raised bump in the middle for clit stimulation; though I found that it was difficult to hit both clit and g-spot simultaneously.

It is made of a matte medical grade silicone. The silicone seems to be a bit stickier than some of the other vibes that we have reviewed, so it picked up lint easily and I needed to use plenty of water based lube. However, it is completely submergible allowing for both bath/hot tub fun and easy cleanup.

The Stronic has a 3 hour playtime after a 16 hour charging. The magnetic charger (which appears to be sold separately in Europe) is extremely easy to use. It simply sticks to the nodes on the handle end of the Stronic and begins to charge.

The Stronic Eins is remarkably easy to use. Just press the ‘FUN’ button for ½ second and it is on. Pressing for another ½ second turns it off immediately, unlike numerous vibrators that must cycle down. Once on, the + and – keys are used to select whichever of the 10 different stimulation rhythms you desire. One rhythm is so quick that the Stronic Eins gives the feeling of a traditional vibrator for vulva stimulation, while the other setting have different thrusting patterns, perhaps in the hope that everyone can find one that would work for their mood and style of play. It is also travel lockable by pressing a combination of buttons, so you needn’t worry about it going off in your luggage.

Because the Stronic Eins moves pretty much on its own, about an inch up and back, I found that it was not necessary to hold it. In fact, holding onto it seemed to restrict the movement. I was able to get it to stay in simply by lying on my back with my legs mostly closed or using my kegel muscles. I could not get as much stimulation in positions where gravity worked against me (ie. this toy would not be great for standing up).

I love the way that it moves. While it does not feel the same as actual sex, the g-spot stimulation is enough to make me squirt quite quickly. And when I paired the Stronic Eins with a traditional vibrator for clit simulation, my orgasm squeezed the Stronic out, forcing it a good 2-3 feet away! Not a bad session, if I do say so myself.

Fun Factory has a winner with its new pulsating technology. In my view, the revolutionary Stronic Eins is going to change the market for g-spot stimulation and I think that other companies may up their game to compete.
