The Life on the Swingset trip to Desire Riveria Maya is still six months away, but we are packing our suitcase for a sexy adventure in desire right here in the US!
It all started last spring when I learned that Cooper and the crew were sponsoring a trip to Desire. We had been considering a vacation at a clothing optional resort and going with the Swingset seemed like the perfect opportunity.
As always, I went into research mode. I read everything I could about Desire. I read reviews on Tripadvisor.com and the Desire forums. I listened to hours of podcasts (while exercising and cleaning!). The reviews were nearly all positive: the environment, the food, the service were great. But the one thing I found interesting was that so many reviewers talked about the friends they made at Desire. Many people said, “You'll make friends for life, friends you'll want to see every year.”
I'll admit, I scoffed at that recurring theme. We've been on couples-only vacations at beautiful all- inclusives. We had a wonderful, romantic time, but we didn't meet anyone and never made friends on vacation. I expected people would be friendlier at Desire, but I really didn't expect to actually make friends.
Then we arrived in Desire! It truly is a magical place. The Swingset group made it even better. Besides the amazing, erotic environment at Desire, the Swingset held special events nearly everyday. The toy show and tell, group dinners, the live podcast, speed dating and organized group discussions made it simple to get to know people. The first afternoon we went to the name necklace making party at the lobby bar. Everyone strung wood alphabet beads with their first names on black cord, chatted and made introductions. The name necklaces were just the start of the mix of sexy, fun and practical. By the end of the second day I knew we would be vacationing at Desire again with the Swingset.
After the name necklace party the group headed up to hot tub happy hour. There were people of all ages, shapes and sizes in the hot tub. The common denominator was that everyone was friendly and happy (and we were all naked!). We had a drink and mingled in the warm water. The name necklaces made it so easy to float up to people and introduce ourselves. We met a cute couple who had been to Desire many times and asked if they would go to dinner with us.
That night was the first of several wonderful meals, dances and more we shared with them. The four of us had so much fun together. It was a sexy, casual, easy thing. We didn't spend the week exclusively with them. In fact, I think we all enjoyed encouraging each other to meet other couples.
By the end of the week we knew we had made friends at Desire and that we couldn't wait a whole year to see them again in Mexico. We think of them often and keep in touch by occasional email and text. It's a lighthearted, easy connection, just like the four of us.
This month we are taking a long weekend and spending some time in desire with our sexy friends! Although our suitcase will have a little more clothing, the amount of high heel shoes and delicious anticipation will be the same as our packing list for Desire Riviera Maya.
