Review: Deluxe Door Jam Cuffs by Sportsheets

Bondage isn't my thing.

I mean, I'm a swinger, yes, but my tastes to tend to run somewhat vanilla. I'm pretty well satisfied with good old fashioned sex. If it's with someone else's wife, also awesome!  But all that aside, the times I've tried the bondage stuff just winds up leaving me somewhat perplexed. I'm fascinated, often.  When Tyler gets out his ropes and ties Marilyn up…man oh man, it's hot, and fascinating, and I love to watch the elaborate knots. And this play time with them has gotten Marilyn to a place where she quite enjoys the bondage. And who am I to argue with something making my gorgeous wife happy?  So I've tried to be involved, bought the ropes, made the effort, but I sort of lose myself in the idea, concern myself more with the rope than what I'm supposed to be doing with the rope, etc.

But when Sportsheets Deluxe Door Jam Cuffs arrived on our doorstep, I thought perhaps here is a form of bondage I can get behind. (Pun firmly intended) Here was something simple, not too overly distracting.  I know for many, the bondage journey is just as exciting as the destination (sometimes the journey IS the destination, in fact) but for me, all my journey should be is getting my wife into a position that she feels slightly out of control with, while I'm slightly in control. (I know, Cooper, WAY to commit!)

The Deluxe Door Jam Cuffs are pretty damned well put together. The package contains four cuffs, designed for full bondage of wrists and ankles. The cuffs are soft, velvety, with velcro straps for tightening.  Then some nylon straps go up through a tightening buckle to a plastic tube. This plastic tube is thrown over the top of the door so that, when the door is closed, its held on the opposite side. When we initially threw these over the top of our door, we were a bit skeptical as to how sturdy they'd actually be. I wouldn't recommend HANGING from them, but after both Marilyn and I gave them some tugs (and then strapped Marilyn in) we were both quite impressed with how sturdy they were

The adjustable tightening buckle allows for more rigid bondage or accommodates taller/shorter people. (Or shorter people with shiny boots with very high heels and perhaps a riding crop, though aren't they the ones usually putting people in bondage?)  We found it more fun to not use the bottom cuffs, because that allowed Marilyn to stand further away from the door, which allowed her to be in more…bendy…positions, but that's really your call, isn't it?

We can definitely recommend the Sportsheets Deluxe Door Jam Cuffs. If you're lazy like me with a bondage happy wife (or girlfriend, we are a swinger site after all) or you're looking to try a bit of bondage without going the full ropage.   Enjoy!
