Review: Cadet Vibrating Silicone Dildo

1

Review: Cadet Vibrating Silicone DildoI was sent the vibrating Cadet from Good Vibes free of charge in exchange for an unbiased review. The Cadet comes in 3 flesh tone colors, which I like to call vanilla, caramel, and chocolate. I received vanilla so if I were to wear this in a harness (which I totally could because it has a flared base perfect for strap-on use) it would match my untouched-by-sunlight, pale white skin perfectly.

This dildo is pretty realistic feeling while still being relatively firm. It definitely has some nice give to it when you squeeze it, but not as much as the fleshy dual-density dildoes like VixSkin. It is half the price of most VixSkin toys though, so for the money it’s a good amount of squish. The Cadet has a slight curve to it and a prominent coronal ridge/ lip to the head of the toy, making it a great G-spot-esque toy. I won’t promise that it will massage your G-spot, because it is pretty long and every person’s body is different, but I was able to use it for G-spot play and it was very pleasant. The shaft itself is textured, but not grotesquely so, there’s very subtle veins wrapping around the shaft. The toy is 7” long (6 ½” of insertable length) and has 1 ⅝” of girth, which for my body is pretty perfect, if not a bit on the large side. The line of toys that the Cadet comes in (from Pleasure Works) also features a smaller vibrating dildo called “The Rookie” and two larger ones that don’t vibrate called “The Maven” and “The Captain.” Don’t you love the military theme? Adorable.

The Cadet is made out of 100% silicone, which is of course non-toxic, hypoallergenic, phthalate-free, non-porous, and all the best stuff about quality sex toys. The silicone warms up with your body as you use it, which is awesome, or you can warm it up before you use it with warm/hot water. This is also a nice staple for playing with multiple partners because you can boil the whole thing to fully sanitize it between uses. The vibrator that you can put in the base is hard plastic, and the average bullet style, but I think it feels stronger than the basic $10 ones that usually come with vibrating dildoes. I specifically requested this toy for it’s vibrating base, but not for the vibrator though. I wanted the hole in the base because I own the best toy accessory ever invented: the Tantus suction cup base. It seems a bit pricey, but it has paid for itself over again by allowing some of my favorite toys to be transformed into suction cup based toys that I can use in the shower (which, currently, is my “professional sex toy reviewer” office). I can slip the suction cup base into the toy then stick it to the wall, for awesome sex from behind while I wash my hair. Gotta love multitasking in the morning.

This toy is great for those that want to use it in a harness for strap-on play. It would be great for pegging too, though I would not recommend it as a beginner pegging toy, more of an intermediate, because it is rather large and you always want to start slow and small with anal play.

All and all a great, simple, realistic vibrating dildo.
