Review: Icicles No. 31 by Pipedreams Products – A Great Glass G-Spotter

PD-2931-00_422229Icicles by Pipedream Products are a line of hand-blown borosilicate (pyrex) glass massagers. Each of the 41 available styles is unique in its beauty and shape. Having not found a glass dildo that could get me off, I was skeptical when the Icicles No. 31 showed up at the office. I had thought to hand it over to a member of my staff, but there was something about it that called out to try it myself. I am not sure if it was the beautiful blue color, the fact that both ends looked functional or that one end looked like it would be perfect for g-spot stimulation, but I knew that the Icicles No. 31 was coming home with me.

The Icicles No. 31 measures 9” from tip to tip; the g-spot/p-spot stim end is approximately 3.5” before the bend. The handle measures 3.5”; though it is possible to insert that end up to 5.5”. The handle and the bulb on the end for g-spot/p-spot stimulation have a diameter of 1”.

Since the Icicles No. 31 is glass, it is very smooth and nonporous. This means that not only could you use it in the bathtub, but clean up is easy in the dishwasher.

Because glass holds its temperature fairly well, the Icicles line of massagers can be used for temperature play. Heat: Although the box states that it can be warmed in the microwave, I think it would be more prudent to heat it with warm water. Mostly because you can’t really control the temperature with a microwave and burns in the vaginal region can be extremely painful and lead to major issues (been there, done that, never again). Cold: Pipedreams suggests that the Icicles can be placed in the freezer for cooling or using cold water. I suggest that if you do stick it in the freezer that the massager be frost-free before use (think tongue stuck to flagpole).

My thoughts:

Like I said before I was rather skeptical about getting off using the Icicles No. 31, but I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised. Well actually I was amazed. It did not take long before I was squirting all over the place.

I began the masturbation session using a basic vibrator to get aroused. One should never jump straight into a g-spot simulation. It is important to make sure that the erectile tissue (clit, tissue surrounding urethra, perineum) is engorged and that one is sufficiently aroused; otherwise, thrusting something up against your g-spot can be anywhere from mildly annoying to downright painful.

Once aroused, I introduced the Icicles No. 31 to my g-spot. Due to the bend in the massager, I was able to hold onto the handle and still hit my g-spot with the bulb. Since many g-spot toys can only be utilized by a partner, being able to use it alone makes the Icicles No. 31 more versatile.

After several thrusts, I began to hear the tell tale signs of fluid build-up. A couple more strokes had me squirting. Thank goodness for Liberator Throes!

Although neither the packaging nor Pipedream Products’ website state that the handle on the Icicles No. 31 can be used as a dildo, it can and I did. While it does not have a large girth or a lot of length, it does have a nice rippled texture.

The Pipedream Products ‘ Icicles No. 31 is a well designed (good for both solo or partner use); well crafted glass massager. I am pleased to recommend the Icicles No. 31. I didn’t think I would be, but now I am very excited to see what other adventures this line of glass toys has in store.
