Tantus’ Realdoe Review – A Toy Worth Having

n7849-tantus_realdoe_silicone_vibrating_double_dildo_largeOur friends at Vibrations Direct in the UK sent us the Realdoe by Tantus for review. As someone who is a huge fan of the original Feeldoe, I was very excited to get to play with a Realdoe.

The Realdoe is roughly the same size and shape as the Feeldoe. It is a double ended dildo with a bulb on one end for vaginal (or anal insertion), a ridge designed to rest against the wear's clit and a realistic dildo on the other end. In total it is 15.5” in length, with the shaft having an insertable length of 6.5” with a diameter of 1.5”. The bulb has an insertable length of 3.25”, about 2” of that has a diameter of 1 1/3” and tapers down to a narrow diameter .75” for holding it in. It is made of a semi-flexible smooth silicone. So is completely waterproof and easily cleaned with soap and water or on the top rack of the dishwasher.

There is a hole for inserting a bullet vibrator at the back of the shaft underneath the ridges. Although any of the small bullet vibrators should work, the Realdoe actually comes with its own bullet AND even includes the tiny required watch batteries.

What makes the Realdoe different from any of the other double-ended dildos that we have tested is the toy’s realistic appearance. It is a Caucasian-type beige/tan as opposed to the usual pink, purple or jet black. While the bulb is the same smooth texture as on the feeldoe, the shaft looks much more like a circumcised penis. The end has a nice head and there are numerous raised veins running down the shaft.

My experience & thoughts:

As a huge fan of cock, I was glad to finally see a double ended dildo that looked like one. I inserted the bulb and I actually had a cock, not some piece of purple silicone, but an honest to goodness cock. Now my kegel muscles are not developed as much as they should be, so I put on a harness to help keep my cock in place.

So now that I had one, what to do with it? The possibilities were staggering….

I turned to my playmate and found myself demanding “suck my cock.” Fascinatingly, he did.

Watching a guy giving head is such an incredibly turn on for me. Most women I know long to see guy on guy action. Unfortunately the stigma around guy/guy interactions for most straight men keeps this from being a usual sight. So the Realdoe was be a great way to be able to fulfill that fantasy without stressing out my playmate.

I also had my partner fuck me with the shaft of the Realdoe. It is a decent size for vaginal penetration and has a nice curve to hit the g-spot. It slides well even without a lot of lube as the silicone is not as sticky as some toys. The bulb on the other end works well as a handle.

The Realdoe would be good for use in pegging IF your partner is experienced in anal play. I think that it is a bit large for beginner use even with an adequate amount of lube.

Since the bulb on the Realdoe is said to be anally insertable, I gave it a try. It is and is actually a fairly comfortable butt plug. But I don’t think there would be enough length on the shaft to allow for much penetration. I had hoped that maybe it would be possible for a male to wear it for double penetration, but I don’t think there is enough length to allow for much thrusting.

I will say that I was not fond of the bullet vibrator. I did not think that it added much to the experience, but then again I have yet to find a bullet that I really like.

Overall, I high recommend the Realdoe by Tantus. I think I may even love it more than the original Feeldoe. This toy will definitely be kept in my go-bag.

  1. Don’t dismay if feel like you have sub-standard vaginal muscles (Kegels are the exercise); 95% of women, no matter how strong their vaginal muscles are, cannot use a double-ended dildo without a harness.
