Review: Talon by EVOLved

1

I'd seen the pictures of EVOLved‘s Talon prostate stimulator on the website, and thought it looked quite interesting.  Its design looks as though it was twisted from a piece of silicone as it was hardening. The top half is a talon like finger, coming to a nicely pointed (though rounded off) point right at prostate level and the bottom tapers off to a small set of two bumps that rest firmly on the perineum. As I'd been recently reviewing the products from the Nexus Range product line, I had an idea of the size and shape this probably was.

During my trip with Sasha and Rob to the sex toy warehouse, though, my eyes were opened.  The talon is tiny. Don't take this as a negative by any means, total it stands about three and 3/4 inches with just under three of those being insert-able. I've had anal toys that are too small in the past, and have always recommended that anyone shopping for plugs find the one that looks like the largest they could possibly take and then get the next size up, because you can almost SURELY handle more.  My first anal toy, in fact, was a butt plug that could hardly be termed a plug as it wasn't even as wide as my finger.

When I got the opportunity to review the Talon, it immediately erased my concerns.  First off, it's incredibly nice to have a prostate toy made of solid silicone so you can boil it.  Second, it's small form factor makes it easy to stash.

As I mentioned above, the Talon is quite finger like, with three raised hills of a sort beneath its point, very similar to your index finger's three pads.  (If you had a large, rounded, hook like point instead of a fingernail.)  This, accompanied by a slight bend, and a graduated girth from widest to thinnest top to bottom makes this little toy very well adapted to finding the prostate and filling out the anus.  The right angle at the bottom, and the small perineum stimulator are perfectly adept at keeping the Talon from slipping beyond the event horizon and disappearing into your own black hole.  (Didja see what I did there?  Nevermind.  Geek/poop joke.)  And because of this small form factor exterior to your body, this is the kind of prostate stim/plug that can be worn in daily life.  (If you're into that sort of thing…not judging.)

Like the best silicone toys, the Talon is incredibly smooth and soft, so when accompanied by the water based lube of your choice (Swingset Labs recommends System JO's H20 lube) it slides in easy with a minimum of extensive prep-work.  I also found that the small perineum stimulator would be an excellent first penetrator.  A partner could easily hold the Talon itself and slide the base in, using the Talon as a joy stick of sorts to manipulate.

Being small, the Talon by EVOLved will likely be far less intimidating to those males who've not yet experienced their prostate fully (just don't let them know it's named the Talon!), yet it still packs enough of a punch for those of us who've been doing this for a while.
