Review: Iconic Ring by JimmyJane

Cock rings!

I have a funny relationship with cock rings. Most cock rings are meant to help lengthen erection time by slightly restricting the blood flow from the penis back into the body. It's a neat, simple concept that generally works pretty well. However, things get a little more complicated when you're uncircumsized. Placement is essential, making sure it works with the foreskin and not against it (folding issues, groupings of skin, etc…) is always something to look out for. But again, it still generally works well.

So I took a look at the Iconic Ring by JimmyJane and lit up, it wasn't a thin, flat strip with a vibrator shoe-horned to the top, it was a thicker, solid piece of latex-free elastomer with small beveled grips on the inside with the vibrator well integrated at the top of the ring with little, mmm… arms of plastic facing the front meant to better stimulate your partner. It didn't look like it'd have any of the foreskin issues that creep up with the thinner cock rings.

JimmyJane bills their Iconic Ring, part of “The Usual Suspects” vibrator collection, as a hands-free way for couples to share sensation. It supports dual mode settings, pressure sensitive or constant vibration, is water resistant and shower friendly (definitely a plus for me), and comes with a one year warranty.

The ring fit very well on my cock, it did everything a normal cock ring does well, restricts the blood flow so that your erection lasts a little longer, as well as feeling a little harder (which on the emotional side of things if you have confidence issues, can be a big thing, it happens to us all once in a while). But having the vibration mode on constant feels great, it's kind of like having the fun of wagging your dick around, but faster and the entire time. The vibration in and of itself was very nice.

So Tonia and I spent some time trying this out and we found while it did a lot for me, it actually didn't do too much for her. The vibrating head on the Iconic Ring doesn't quite reach up to her clitoris, so it mind of massaged underneath which isn't an arousal area for her. We used both the pressure sensitive mode and the constant vibration mode and to her it didn't make too much of a difference, so for me, I kept it on constant vibration mode. Now we tried this in the doggy style position as well as the reverse cowgirl and realized this could be a very effective anal stimulator, but Tonia's not too much a fan of anal play so I didn't get to explore this aspect of play. I'll have to enlist a little outside help!

So, the Iconic Ring did a lot for me, it worked great with my uncircumsized cock, and the constant vibration mode was different and wonderful. While it doesn't quite reach the clitoral area, it leaves room for use of a clitoral stimulator, and seems perfectly positioned for anal stimulation. I'm happy to keep it in the “use” drawer in my bedroom!
