Review: Revo Prostate Stimulator by Nexus

1

Review of The Nexus Revo Prostate StimulatorI have a soft spot for Nexus, as they were the first company to send us toys for review. Granted, Marilyn was disappointed that the first batch of toys were all butt toys, but I was in prostate heaven (It's a pretty awesome place.)

I've used toys from all of Nexus' different levels of stimulators, from the most basic hard plastic toys to the Nexus Vibro, which instantly became my favorite of all vibrating prostate stimulators. There's something to like about all their products, and as you make your way up the (cost) ladder, the stuff to like becomes greater and greater, culminating with the aforementioned Vibro, which I considered a pinnacle.

Last year I heard rumblings about Nexus dropping a new toy, one that will change the game, The Revo. A lot about the Revo really did add up to “game changer” too. First off, the Revo adds a vibrating perineum massager, which is something the Vibro was definitely lacking. But what's really going to get people talking about the Revo is the independently rotating head at the top.

For people who really enjoy prostate play, this is a big flare being sent up. Something different is happening here. Women know that vibration can numb at times and stimulation and movement and pressure are all extremely important, especially when it comes to that elusive G-Spot orgasm. Well the prostate is no different. After a while with the Vibro or any of the other vibrating toys, the sensations in my prostate would wane and then the party was over.

I've been chasing the prostate orgasm for years, and while I haven't yet achieved a hands free prostate orgasm (ie no genital stimulation) the Revo got me very close. The moving head on it puts pressure and then relieves pressure on the prostate, moving back and forth and back and forth. When I first inserted it, I was blown away. I thought finally someone has figured it out!

Unfortunately, I have to report that the Nexus Revo is CLOSE but no cigar for being the perfect toy for me. The pressure just isn't great enough. It's not about speed, it's about that PUSHING on the prostate that really does it for me. The angle isn't great enough either. Where the Vibro is angled to a point where it felt like it was pushing strongly on my prostate, the Revo was like a light touch, then gone, then back, then gone. I would get close to that run up to orgasm (at least what I think is the run up!) and then it would release.

Will this work for some? Hell, I'd wager it'll work for MOST people who enjoy prostate play. So kudos for Nexus for figuring out something pretty damned impressive. It just didn't quite get me there.

All that said the construction quality is great, part silicone and part plastic (the parts that are inside you are silicone, soft and smooth. It's pretty quiet, feels pretty durable. Still takes AA batteries, and I wonder why they haven't moved to a rechargeable setup yet, as we are into around $170 for this bad boy, feels like a little pricey.

I agree with Mr. Cooper commenting on the angle and strength of the massaging movements that are lacking. My observation would be that the massager is slightly too long! Since the prostate is located just 2 ½” – 3″ from the anus opening, the Revo passes the gland by over an inch.
Don’t misunderstand, Nexus has it right with this toy, I’ve achieved many satisfying sessions, but these minor modifications would greatly make this massager, “spot-on”!
