Review: Boy Butter Personal Lubricants

4

Ooooh boy…

So I've been taking a bit more … “me” time lately and I have to be honest, it's been pretty great. I focus quite a bit on my partner, whoever I may be with, but I started to get the feeling that maybe I'd started neglecting myself.  I set out on a little experiment that's really ended up taking a few months. So while I'll get to that later, I want to mention a series of Boy Butter products I gave a try during the exploration. I had an opportunity to try out the entire line of Boy Butter products, both by myself and with Tonia, with some interesting results, I have the Original Boy Butter, the H2O based You'll Never Know It Isn't Boy Butter, The Warming Boy Butter, the Boy Butter Extreme Desensitizing Lubricant, the Lucky Personal Lubricant, and finally the Boy Butter Bonerz male enhancement formula.

*phew*

Now, being relatively new to the lubricant market, I'd never heard of Boy Butter, I've barely gotten past thinking anything other than Astroglide or Wet or K-Y (and thank jeebus I have). So, I started with the original.

The “original” Boy Butter personal lubricant feels significantly different than anything I've tried, and really anything I would have expected. Before I even put it on my cock, it really felt like whipped, light, fluffy, spreadable butter. I rubbed it on my hands a little bit, but the heat and motion didn't turn it into a liquid goop, it pretty much just stayed where I put it. Wherever I used Boy Butter (which was primarily my cock and balls, duh!) it stayed put. I never felt like it was dripping down my ass, dripping onto the bed (though I did have towels underneath just in case) or getting anywhere I didn't want it… it stayed put and stayed lubricating, I never felt like I had to re-apply! Actually applying the Boy Butter felt kind of neat, it's not oily, or watery… I'd describe it more as… silky. It kind of just rolled on. I took my hands and kind of took time just wringing it around my cock, watching it spread through my fingers slowly… just kind of neat. 🙂 It did work well, I'd spend maybe ten to fifteen minutes at a time jerking myself off, and it felt pretty good. There were really no major downsides to using it.

So, everything above pretty much applies for the other flavors, the H2O “You'll Never know It's Boy Butter” version was virtually the same, just condom safe, though I did feel like after a few minutes I wanted to apply just a little more. I did try it in a condom and it worked very well, it didn't interfere with the operation of the condom, didn't make it hard to apply the condom, and it still conveyed all the sensation I'm used to through a condom. I tried the Lucky brand lubricant and it felt just a touch thicker but I couldn't feel much difference between the two. I did try it out with Tonia, and while we don't really need lubricant on a regular basis, we didn't feel overly wet like some other lubricants make us feel.

The two variants I really wanted to try were the desensitizing and the warming Boy Butters. I tried the desensitizing Boy Butter Extreme just by myself, and with Tonia. By myself it worked pretty well, but I -really- had to work to finish off. I've never really had an oversensitivity problem, so I think this is more geared towards people that regularly cum too early. I found I couldn't even finish when using it with Tonia, so it's definitely very effective, just a bit too much for me. The Boy Butter Warming Lubricant was great for personal use. It warmed, tingled, and burned to the point where I was almost at the edge of my tolerance for it, but I found once I built up to there and got used to it I had a great time. I'm uncircumsized so the tip of the head of my cock, usually covered and protected, is usually very sensitive. While the desensitizing lubricant affected my whole cock equally, the warming lubricant actually enhanced my sensitivity below the head of my penis,, and brought the sensitivity of the head of my penis down to manageable levels so I could actually play with it when I pulled my foreskin down…. oooh, I actually shivered a little bit when I thought about that.

But do NOT use this with someone else or you will regret it. *cough*

Really, I was able to play with the head of my cock more than I'd ever been able to take, I don't mean because I'd cum too early, but because I'd feel overloaded and it'd stop feeling good. It was such a novelty, I didn't really want to stop. I think the first session of playing with the warming lubricant, I must have spent an hour.

The Boy Butter BONERZ male enhancement pill unfortunately didn't do anything for me.  I was pretty methodical about gauging whether I felt any difference, but unfortunately I didn't experience more frequent erections, more powerful erections, or easier erections when I wanted them. I'd have to say the only part of the Boy Butter catalog that didn't deliver was the pill.

Overall everything felt great, the easy application and easy cleanup are a great selling point on their own, but the lubricants all in all performed very well. I enjoyed spending the time on them… -very- much. 🙂

Enjoy yalls!

  1. I also have tried the traditional Boy Butter foam and found it an adequate self-lubication. However, I have always been concerned that it might be oil-based and so, would be a NO-NO for use with any laytex or rubber products. This would rule it out for use with a condom, if true. Can anyone clarify this for us? Is Boy Butter oil-based or water-based? What is the primary ingredient? Thanks for a great review. Keep up the good work and research, dude!

    • The original boy butter is oil based and not to be used with a condom. Boy butter h2o (I can’t believe it’s not boy butter) is water based and safe with a condom.
